Axis Deer Hunts
The chital, also known as the spotted deer or axis deer, is a deer species to the Indian subcontinent, specifically India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. This species was first described by Johann Christian Polycarp Erxleben in 1777. Males are a moderate size, reaching up to inches at the shoulder, while females stand at about 28 inches Males typically weigh between 150 to 200 pounds, whereas females weigh around 90 to130 pounds. Both mature males and females display white patches on theirats, but only mature males possess antlers, averaging three points each and measuring between 28 to 34 inches in length.
