Afghan Urial

The Afghan urial  is a small wild sheep, they weigh around 90–115 pounds and stand about     (32 inches) at the shoulder. Native to mountainous regions of Central Asia, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tajikista .

Afghan were introduced onto the Priour Ranch in the 1960's. Our herd was soon certified pure Afghan Urial by Safari Club International. Where we continue to maintain the purest herd.

They are reddish to yellowish-brown with white underparts

and rump & a small lighter spot bib under neck. 

These are not the white bib Transcaspian subtype. weighing 150-200 pounds with 11-12" bases.

Afghan Rams have large, wrinkled horns that curve outward with lengths typically

between 27 and 32+ inches.
